someone once told me that Venice is smelly and dirty, the water is dark, dirty and smells so does the alley ways... for a long time i could not remember who I thought it was the same person who described Paris as filled with rude people, dirty and asked me to beware of dog poos.someone said that, really? really...
it turn out the person who describe Venice was not the same person as the guy who told me about Paris. The culprit saying this to un-romantic-nise Venice was non other than my very good friend claudia. We spoke about it again today and she asked me if I found venice to be the same.. and I went ahaaaaaaaa.. so you are the one!!!!.. but i said i dun really.. i liked venice.. but i must say.. it is a city for lovers or history buffs.. in you are alone and one medieval buildimng looks just like the other to you.. skip this place..
anyways..
finally, i got off my lazy ass and resized most of the pictures and posted them on my facebook and friendster... next I will finally write it dwon on my travelogue.. before i forget the details.
i only spent one night in venice, i met up nearby with a business partner who flew in from Asia and we had a one day meeting. That evening i ventured to venice and spent the night there.. hotels are OMG expensive btw.. made worst that now is summe rholiday period but thank god it is not super peak season .. I had a good morning and afternoon of walking about and left in the evening to catch the plane back in germany..
how was it?
well it wasn't very smelly but yes the water is not very clean as it not clear and at night the smell does seem to come up but it did not bother me much.. some people actually throw their garbage in the alley way so that is not so nice (see first pic), but overall it was clean.. some not so popular paths (i got lost) do stink of urine but overall i find that it is not all that bad...buy being there alone takes some of the thrills away.. the night with darkly lit walkways are perfect for strolling hand in hand with your lover and there is plenty of nice spots to cuddle and such.. the days on the other are tooooo.. darn busy if that is my only complain of venice.. i never thought there was so many people.. it was difficult just to get a shot without people.
i cant get into the St Mark's bascilica because there is just too manyyyyy people.. *sigh*
the water taxi is also crowded there is a que every where.. places where you have to pay tend to be much better.
Overall, I would say the whole feel of venice is intersting for me, as I like to look at architecture and read up on the local history and look at art. Yes, who would figure i was so boring. But since i had not so much time and i like to take my sweet time strolling at one place, i saw really only a few main attraction.. to be explain in details in my travelogue... and would really like to ago again..

my next trip.. london again-- i am going to do some shopping yeah yeah yeahhh...also hopefully i will have time to post some old holiday pictures in my travelgue although they seem so distant now.. taiwan, bali, gold coast.. oo.. boracay.. all still in my hard drive.. gosh.. how can i be a seriouse blogger!!!

Wow - looks amazing! You've got some great pics there.
I must say, the smelly urine alleyways don't differ much to Melbourne really....
haha.. what is that with drunken men that likes to piss everywhere ya??
