counting down

going back to malaysia.. weeehhheeee.. (^^,) actually i dun know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.. i think i will be swapped with things to do.. even now things are piling up waiting for my 'return' but i am also happy to be surrounded by familiar things again.. especially people.. family n friends... and foodddd...

i like it better that i have much more personal space and time here.. i seem to be blogging more... more time to read manga n watch animes .. hahha i even have time to watch MTV at home.. mmm..

speaking of having more time.. seems that most of my friends are having less time.. wondered what happened to most of u guys.. audrey and rambking chic and i have been emailing and it seems they are busy busy busy with REAL LIFE (tm) and tin soldier seems to be also busy.. ahhhh.. seems that is how things are ya.. when u get older responsibility sneaks up on you and before you know it, your hands are full..

my good friend han recently got married and when i went to his wedding it seems that most of his friends and our mutual ones are married.. with kids too!! wowwiiieee.. it didn't seem like to long ago we were all going to Pangkor, snorkelling together and talking stupid stuff.. and now everyone is.. well all grown up.. when did that happen?

i was also over the weekend with my friend to her friends 21st birthday party.. ggoosshhh i cant even remember mine!!! was it that long ago? good thing is.. i hear it from lots of people here i look 22-24... hahhahahahha!!! finally... a place where ppl think i am YOOOOOOUUUUNGGG... i dun feel old.. i still like cute things, slouch when i sit and waddle when i walk.. i still like watching cartoons and is blur and forgetful.. can't spell or count.. yet.. something something must have changed... especially when i look at people around me.. ahh well... it is a road we all must travel.. might as well make full use of it...

catcha' later, muaks.

misery loves company

i always remember this old qoute: good fortune never comes in pairs and misfortune never comes alone.. Starting last week things got a little bad for me, home internet line down, office wireless down so i had to transfer all my work from my lap top to a work station.. where i am working from now.. i caught a cold and started coughing, because of the cough, can't sleep and was well all round mood.. plus the weather was cold and wet.. which usually i wouldn't mind but i was sick and cranky most of the time so it did not help...

then as if the clouds suddenly shifted away from the sun, my DSL connection at home got fixed, and today voila.. the office wireless works again and from 13°c yesterday, today is 25° with sun!

also i cleaned and arranged my office.. and my cough has cleared.. yesterday i slept from 10 pm to today 8 am and was late for work.. hehehhehe.. i haven't had a good sleep since i started coughing.. i feel so much better todayyyy...

so today, i just need one more relaxing day at home and tomolo i will be FINE.. all fine!!! :)

I am actually still sleepy.. goshh i am such a pig.. and here is the photo of my most favourite food.. the humble corn..

happiness

Quote of the Day
Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.
- Dale Carnegie

What a nice quote from the random quotes from my side bar.. yes it is true..

despite all my whining and complains, i actually think that i am quite a happy person.

stress is for the weak

yup.. so don't let it get to you.. i had a good relaxing weekend.. but 2 unfortunate thing happened... my home DSL died.. so no internet at home and i'm coughing.. weather is cold here for summer and I must have caught something.

I still have a few task to complete but i guess i have been lazy and putting it off.. new brochures write up for company A1 and new website for company A2. Also need to do 2009 price list for company A1. these are time consuming but actually if i patiently sit down for one day and do nothing but write, i could get in done.. i only have one skill which is i feel i am at an 'advance level' and better than most people.

what is that?

bullshitting.

really, no bull.

i could write on any subject if you give me some reference and facts to piece together without knowing anything about the subject. which explains why i did not learn much from college despite the course works and the reports.. hahhaha..

i also wrote for a few friends their thesis for subjects from architecture to marketing.. also for my own engineering paper, do u think think face knows anything??? -> *_* <- no- it's not pretending, it is as stupid as it looks.

I am most proud of the final year thesis for my friend X. She was borderline on one subject because her report was too poor and the lecturer said the only way she could pass was to redo the paper. Since she basically forced me, I did it for her and she got a pretty good score.. What i know about the subject which was pretty technical? Zilchh.. nothing..

so what does that say about exams? Nothing!

Maybe if I could have put in more attempts than being the half ass-ed student that i was i could have done better in school. I am still bad at numbers and honestly is still trying to remember my own phone number. So if you asked me for it and I say i couldn't remember- it's not an excuse and that I dun like you.. it just that i am an idiot.

silver away, time to go home!

rebelling at work

FRIDAY!!!!!!! hahaha.. i have decided after a bad start of the day to take it easy.. i am a moody person.. and you will never know this fact unless you work with me, stay with me or date me... for a period of time.

At the moment I am so ****** ***** at my malaysian company n boss. They like to give me difficult task, hey dog go do this X. They accept you do it soon and do it perfect. They want good margin, good customer relationship, prompt payment, expand the range of products we have, customer to give information, more sales, more new customers.. and when something go wrong.. ahhh all my bad.. my bad.

But they are all busy, so their reposense is slow, action they are supposed to take not done yet.. but they are busy and understaffed i should understand.. oh, stocks problems.. you can't plan everything.. oppss you made the wrong costing or send the wrong goods let me tell my customer... it is my job to make them understand that we are all not perfect.

I am frustrated that it seems mistake can only be one end.. and criticsm on them is taken badly because they are busy and overworked.. they choose my emails to answer to, and only address on points they like. Of course they pay me, so no right to complain eh!

*sigh* but i guess it is mostly and i say it with no sarcasm intended.. i am a really pushy co-worker.. and I bet an even worse boss.. hahahha.. I am impatient and pushy.. horrible princess attitude, i need to learn how to take it easy but it is difficult. I try and well.. am still trying.

I did not manage to achive what I personally wanted to do when I come to Germany, to work less- live more. go home at 4.30 pm. exercise. travel.. I will definately try now. Anything that can't finished by 4.30 is left for the next day.

i like my bosses and my colleagues, privately they are wonderful people- frictions happens in work i guess because i too have impossibly high standards.

after this 3 years contract, i swear that i will get out of this business. I don't have interst in this industry at all. In case I seem to be babbling.. here's some history.. i graduated and worked for a technical manufacturing company for 2-3 years and lkeft.. no interest in the products and well other unhapiness.. left for a short while to a nothing to do high paying company and felt bored.

Probally biggest mistake I ever made and when my ex-boss came and said he wanted to start a new comopany doing consumer products i went. started as i one person company and now we have 3 in the last 3 year plus and recently he offered that i come to Europe, back to the first company. Knowing i never refuse an adventure, i took it and ta da.. i am here working for my first employers and still overseeing work for the consumer business but i have great help from the colleagues there, so I have no worries.

I love life in Germany, genuinely love the people i work with (not how they do things most of the time) and well i guess after venting out my frustration in words, i feel less upset.

But please after my 3 year contract here if i still stay in this industry and this company no matter how much money they offer me, kick my ass. I have sold my soul to the devil.

pet peeves

my thoughts in progress :)

i love reading gossip and fashion news, i am not particularly gossipy of fashionable but i find it de-stressing.. i dislike however to watch the news or read the papers.. why?

it is depressing!

if i read the news paper i start at the comic section, move on to sports, scan through the front page and go through everything... but because i work and i dun want to seem as stupid as i actually am, i need to know that iron ore is out by 90%, who fredie and fanie is.. and hell we have an inflation rate of 4-5% in developed countries??

i have never studied economics so i dun really know how a country's inflation is calculated but i really wonder how they do it.. and who is it for.. yes it is true that the cost of making a call, going on the internet, buying an LCD or an MP3 player has all gone down... cloths are also getting cheaper.. but it only means that i'm paying less for poorer quality.. i am unware that gucci or LV has gotten cheaper.. what i feel though is that petrol is sky high.. food like coffee, rice, wheat, bread, cocoa.. are all up up up.. shampoos.. detergents, soaps..

so how did the 4 to 5% came about? And if it works based on some weighing system.. should it be weight on something which actually is felt by the regular people??

another funny news that i red in the paper recently, the EU is rethinkking its policy on bio fuel because as they are burning food for fuel it is causing a huge increase of price in food! Wheat, grape seed oil etc.. goodness sake, i would like to meet the person who came up with this good idea :D burn fooooooddd for energy?

i can use less petrol, i can only talk on one phone and watch one TV but i still gotta eat! And regularly too!

Why is the oil prices so high, why is othet commodity prices so high.. although as far as i know it is not a generally accepted facts quite a number of people believe that it is caused by speculation and the actual demand is not really that much higher.

In other words, rich people trying to make more money..

1997 Asian ecomonic crash, our goverement blame it on currency speculators..

when all this inflation accures, when an economy crash, when there is an economic saction on a country.. when you declare war on another.. who suffers?

you and me. the average people and most of all the poor.

the super rich is not hit.

When they cut jobs for a big company they cut 500 employees who's total earnings is most probally less than the CEO's.

From my export business i know for a fact that Myanmar imports in top grade milk powder in a higher quanitity than the sales for KL every month! Economic sanctions? huh? only for the poor my friend.. only for the poor and the average people.

I am just hearing from the news that Ireal's war with Lebanon killed mostly civilian with XX casulaties.. so what's new in the world?

the world is not fair my friend, live with it. This world is for the rich and the affluent.

i need a break..

it has been a long long weekkk.. there is just so much work to do :(.. whhoppiiiessss i'm paid to do it.. so.. so that's that. finally the weekend has arrived.. i am looking forward to sleeping in a little...

the good thing about my new working hours is that i can go home at 4.30 but work starts at 8!!! usually i go home about 6.30 and leisurely finish off the days work... on most days you can find me at a nearby beer garden drinking beer.. and washing glasses for the owner to make up for all the free drinks! But i had not been there these whole week, just too much work.. yesterday went with a friend and her friends to Bonn a nearby city for a drink.. going there again with some colleagues tomorrow but different drinkking placesss.. seems like yesterday's place was more "chic" and my colleagues prefer the more rugged, less pretentious ones.. mmm...

i dun know.. it made me thing what is my natural habitat? chic, people watching places, rugged drinking holes, hip happening crowds... mm.. i guess im quite the amphibian and blend in to most places..

but i like to stay at home tooo.. curl up reading manga, watching animes.. reading a book.. perfect...

oooo.. speaking of a needed break i could very well be going to Japan this Dec with Jayce.. it's all in the planing stages.. but i am looking forward to a holiday, my last real one was last year, Dec with Ms. Elephant in taiwan. errr.. no i was in bali again in march with my collegues.. but it was juyst 3 days.. i need a reallll break.. of 7 days at least..

this time in japan.. i will definately visit ghibli musuem and akhibara and buy some manga for collection! yyyeeaaahhh!!

but i really want to go to Bhutan only i cant find a good travelling partner to go with.. uurrrghh.. it is so sad :(

today, i will go back opunctual at 4.30 and take a nap .. then head to the beer garden.. just in case they miss mne too much there.. hahaha

here's a pic of the owner:

if i was president

if i was president, this is how i will run my country..
i would own the country's only network TV,
and show 3000 channels for free,
only one goverment news network,
2999 reality shows, sitcoms and entertaiment only,
Every little girl will want to be Paris Hilton,
Every little boy will want to Justin Timberlake.

Education will not be important,
you can work for the goverment without a degree,
There will be plenty of shows where you can get rich,
get famous or get notice even if it is just 60 seconds.
You can do everything via the internet,
you can even vote from the house,
I will give every family a computer and a big TV free.

With the mass media as my tool,
I will propagate my own religion,
I will sell happiness in a bottle,
a dreams in a can,
my people need not have opinions,
as decisions can be made for them,
They will be content and well entertained.

If you break the law- there will be no jail,
I will put you to work,
Convicts will make cheap shoes, cheap TVs, and plant cheap food.
Shops will open 24 hours a day,
interest rates will be low,
there will be so much consumerism,
the country can only grow.

------------------------------------------------------

i am listening to the news about oil prices going up, europe going into recession.. the US presidential candidate.. and of course.. malaysian talking about our new political turns of late..

instead of criticsing people.. how will you do better.. so i thought about it .. and came up with the prose above.. if you ever want to vote for me or know more about my euthopia.. hahah do nominate me next time for your local election.. :)

life in Germany

wuhahaha.. *evil laughhhhh*.. yup i am now officially staying in Germany and is pretty well settled in actually.. i thought that I would have more time to bloig but in fact I'm kinna busy.. duno why.. duno what.. i just am... ^^,

so what have i dun.. well basically furnished the flar to be more comfy.. i really like it ;D just need a few more things to make it have everythig i need. Last week i went with a colleague to IKEA a bought some shelves.. was happily queing up and emnbrassingly found that *damn* it was the less than 7 items lane.. i had definately more than 20!! If that wasn't embrassing enuff, they dun accept card.. only cash!! HUH?? and i didnt have that much money on me, had to then find an atm and get some money.. godddddd... talk about stupid... anyways.. i wanted to buy a screw driver but can find it in IKEA and my colleague said usually it comes with an alan key anyways.. so we happily left.. *_*

then when i arrived at home, moved my car, crashed into the neightbour's flower pot.. uurrgghh i had to clean up an apologise in my 2 cents german.. then got home.. unpacked and damn.. i do need a screw driver to install..

although people always tell me im impatient and stuborn and I disagree.. I guess i am.. so wanting to assemble the shelves on that night itself.. mnust be that night, i rummage the house and found..the flip of my nail clippers could be a interim screw driver.. ~-^

So I tried to pull a McGuyver and assembled the shelf & shoe rack with that.. the small thankfully can be assembled by hand. Also, look at the instruction for the shelf.. it suggested that you sort of fold the back portion into three before sliding it in.. the board was so hard it was impossible to do it.. at least for me.. but at the end.. with brut force.. everything is done.. and so here are some pictures of my new place and some nick nacks I bought to decorate it..

Ikea orange throw over.

Ikea place mats and candles.. the plant is a house warming gift..

This gave me the hardest time and by force i got the back portion slided in.. so it no longer see through like this pic.. ;p

Simplest to assemble...

not too hard to assemble.. next trip back to Malaysia.. i will bring my shoes!

Actually I bought a lot more stuff but just too lazy to take all the pictures and lazy to resize and post :p uurrgghh

Last weekend was also the Ducati Festa.. a customer of mine and his wife are all ducati bike owners and are very close to their ducati dealer, so they arrange that i had a spin on a ducati superbike with a pro driver... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.. it is like roller coaster without seat belts.. 3 rounds around the smaller Nuburgring really gives you a high! I am quite the thrill seeker.. maybe i readdy do have a secret death wish.. anyways i survive and it was fun fun fun. Also never saw so many ducatis in my life... ;p

This is such a corny picture.. it is so corny that i liked it.. I didn't want to sit on a motorbike and taken a pic.. but my customer's wife insist.. hahah so.. here is mne.. behaving like a 5 year old..

Me, preparing for the ride..

Hard to tell but that's me.. love the slogan.. just on top.. sheer driving pleasure~
sheer riding pleasure for me!

So, we got back in one piece! I'm sure the driver's glad too!

After that we went to another customer's motorhouse near the race track and had a BBQ.. perfect day~

and here's me with a happy face, lazing while waiting for dinner to be served! ;D

yesterday i was one day in france.. didn't see anything but airport, customer office, airport, airport and this cheap flight had some transits.. and delays.. so i woke up yesterday 2.30 AM to catch the flight out and arrive home at 1.30 AM this morning.. so with 24 hours of stayibng awake.. i had enough... :( next time no more cost save!!

I will have some rest today and tomorrow maybe a small trip down to Cologne.. blog soon.
