updates.. news so far

phewwwwwwwwwwwww.. well it was a long long long trip.. jayce and OT visited me in germany and being asian we love to just cramp everything into the schedule into a typically touch and go style.. me.. i am more of a relax traveller but i understand the need to maximise your trip after a 12 hour non stop flight.. so..

jayce arrived first and we hung around Köln, the OT arrive we had a nice dinner with my couple-couply pals florinda and jay to celebrate my birthday on the following monday. EGAD.. i am 29!! and the next day we went to brussels.. then things went wrong...

usually i never keep the group's pot money but this time i did and having lots of moolah in my purse, we sight see brussels, then i got pickpocketed.. lost so much money which of course i have to pay back my friends.. since i was the one who lost it.. :( and on my birthday too.. so i tried to suck it in as to not spoil the fun for them and continued.. but that made a sucky sucky birthday memory for me :((( also the inconvienece of losing all your cards, id etc.. *sigh*

then the next day we went to paris for 3 days and 2 nights.. outside of germany.. other people really drive like crazyyy! good thing my training comes from driving in Kuala Lumpur!

It was nice.. and very pretty, not as magical as some people said but also not as bad.. it was nice.. next time i go.. i am going to spend the whole day in the musuems.. :D

then we head to luxembourg for a one night stay.. mm.. very nice place.. but there was really nothing that stood out.. once if you experience the wonder that is paris, barcelona, venice etc..

and the very next day, i fly to Santa Fe, USA... it was a longgggg flight to and a long flight back... i was 4 nights, 5 days in the middle of no where.. mmm.. there was a convention and while i was away, my friends went to italy.. then i rushed back, and we went around germany and the border of holland and did a large ammount of shopping..... puuuuuhhhh.. no me.. jayce mostly..

and after a long 2 weeks of non stop action, i am back.. in the office.. and the last few days was working hard to follow up all the pending jobs etc and well life is again back in good order :D

who knew i was such a freak.. i am getting to become like this cat lady who likes to stay alone, clean her house and talk to her cat.. the only thing missing is the cat...

here's some photos I have on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=111042&id=750606063&l=0e256ba7a4

will update others soon.. and also attend to my poor travelogue.. and i need to study too :(

oh god!!

normalcy..

fuhh fuhh fuhhh.. the weeks ago was crazy.. the killer was a one week exhibition in germany which is like the highlight of the year for us.. the preparation before was OK but the actually exhibiton.. 5 days straight of standing at the booth and 7 nights of hard drinking.. it wears u down.. it took me a week just to reorganised all the mess and leftovers from the exhibition and also to recover some strenghts.. social obligations also did not wait.. so there was some mild easy activities over last week but all in all.. I am in good shape now..

life is back on track!! work is up to date!! yeah!!

now i just need to complete my assignment before Jayce visits. My dear friend will be arriving this saturday and another good friend Sunday.. our plans? a one week tour of europe.. so i will be on holiday.... yeeaaaahhh... but i am sure i will be dead tired...

and the following week I'm off to another road show in USA, then rush back for my dear friends and some more mini tour.. so for the next 2 weeks starting next saturday, i will be out of action again..

something really good happened to me last week, i became God-ma for the first time.. my best friend gave birth to twin boys... how productive eh?? hehehe.. it also reminded me how time has flown.. i guess we only started to be best buddies when I was 16.. we were in the same class and lived nearby.. so we spent so much time together.. in fact nearly all my teenage milestones was with her..

first driving accidents, both hers and mine.. first love, first heartbreak .. many many memories.. then a few years ago she got married and now is a mum.. me?? well still here.. and turning 30 soon.. yet i still act, think and have the taste of a 12 year old..

maybe i will end up being the quirky spinster aunt.. or in this case Godma.. heheheh or.. I will shock everyone with the news of a sudden marriage, pregnancy and be so whole dedicated to my family that I become a housewife... mmm.. ok.. possibility is slim for this..

I guess the grass is always greener on the other side and my carefree lifestyle is enviable to some.. and I really don't want to get married have kids (yet) so I guess there is nothing to complain about.. but just how quick time flies.....

i hope i dun pass the prime of my life and not notice.. so i have to savour ever experience now and enjoy it to the fullest...

to celebrate this good news the other day i took out a gift from a friend, a rioja reserve wine (supposed to be good), have been saving it for special occasions but guess this is one, and cooked my fav asparagus!! it is in season again in germany.. and made a burger and pigged on some belgium chocolate (premium goodies i tell u.. yummy) another couple gave me from their trip to france.. then it struck me how odd the combination was... that i took a picture:

starter: asparagus
main meal: burger
dessert: chocolate
drink: wine

no wonder I always have trouble explaining to people what in the world do i cook at home...
